welcome to our new home! yeah we're back in Brooklyn only better!
Our kitchen counter its still messy lol.
The granite tops are awesome..easy to clean, easy to maintain.
corridor towards the living room, bathroom on the left...
Isn't it so obvious that I so love the kitchen? ahihih..yeah we've got some wine brackets too...for now we put a paper towel in there haha!
Our cute bathroom, gotta fix a little bit of designing here and there
Ok, I took this photo a little bit dark, we have a nice sunlight coming through the window, which is a blessing here in Brooklyn.
This is our room, pardon the appearance, we don't have a bed yet but sleeping on the floor with a mat is a good way to straighten up our poor backs. Haaha my husband Eric loves to sleep on the floor when he was a kid, so I'm happy that he is very flexible and resilient to our situation.
Since we are starting from scratch, here is our mess.
This is the entry way going towards the patio.
And this is our patio! Wooooott!
Very cute and simple. Life is beautiful.
YES! we've got trees! even squirrels jumping around and lots of birds...oh how we love nature!
So that's the end of our small tour', living room and the rest of the room in the apartment are in need a lot of cleaning and organizing so..that would be the next blog.
Living in Washington heights in Broadway were a complete and utterly different from where we are right now. You just don't know how happy and relieved we are after we left that area. It took us just a single night to decide that we have to leave asap or endure the dangerous and uncomfortable situation that we are dealing since we lived there. Two days after when a good friend of ours highly recommended the place for the same amount of rent that we pay in Manhattan, this is a STEAL! So we immediately packed our stuff (which are clothes, computers, my cameras and equipments and Eric's vinyl records, two turntables, guitar and thats it! we have no furniture and not that a lot of stuff. Which is good, we have nothing to think about. That's the way its supposed to be anyway, in this life we both think that that we don't necessarily need a lot of stuff..its just an equivalent to unnecessary "garbage".
So why we left Washington Heights? A week before we decided that we have to leave, there were like at least three stabbings in our building, our neighbor got mugged just outside the main gate at 6 am on her way to work, cops everywhere everyday, every night, gangs everywhere, shootings here and there, non stop crazy, annoying and blasting mexican/puerto rican/spanish etc. music from the building that also includes the other apartment buildings from outside, car alarms that goes off at 3 or 5 am in the morning...and so much that it made us dread just to be there. Now that is a freaking ghetto! What can we do? we are saving money and thats all we can afford and we have to deal with it.
So the universe has probably listened to our woes and struggles that it ended our almost a year stress. LOL.
Wooww..this is the longest blog so far that I did. ciao!
